The College of Public Health includes three Ph.D Program:

School of Public Health, Graduate Institute of Injury Prevention and Control, and h.D. Program in Global Health and Health Security.

Eligibility:

(1) Identity and Nationality:

A foreign national who has never held Chinese overseas student status prior to application, and who complies with the Taiwan Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as “MoE”), “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan”, and other applicable regulations.

(2) Educational/Academic Qualifications:

Applicants with evidence of a Master’s degree accredited by the MoE, or students expected to graduate by July (for Fall intake) or by December (for Spring intake) of the current academic year from MoE-accredited Master’s degree programs.

  • Master’s degree (or above) graduation certificate, or documents of equivalent educational level
  • Full transcript of Master’s degree (or above) including explanation of grading system

All applicants must demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in English for admission. They will need to submit an English proficiency certificate at CEFR
B2 (Vantage) or above to satisfy the required competence level for their intended program. Test results must be obtained within two years of the application start date.

English-Language Test Waiver
If the official language of the applicant’s nationality as indicated on their passport is English, or if their previous degree was taught in English or their major was English, they will be exempted from submitting English proficiency scores. Instead, they should provide evidence of the language of instruction or their graduation certificates and upload it to the “English proficiency” field in the admission system.

The financial statement must be a personal bank statement; bank statements from company or organization account will not be accepted. If an individual has multiple accounts, the bank statement showing the closing balance must be issued on the same day.

Applicants must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria:
1. Individuals who have obtained an MoE accredited Master degree OR are graduating by July from MoE accredited Master degree programs.

2. Individuals who have obtained an MoE accredited diploma of M.D. degree and received at least two years of documented clinical training with publications
equivalent to a master’s thesis.
