健康平等研究中心簡介
本健康平等研究中心 (以下稱本中心) 之願景為消除因年齡、性別、社經地位、地理區域、種族/族群等所造成的健康不平等，並追求環境永續發展，促進人類的健康與福祉，設立本研究中心。
本中心之主軸為「健康公平」以及「永續發展」之研究（請見圖1.）
設立宗旨為發展本校在衛生領域之特色、與校內外相關研究領域專家合作、提昇研究能量與實證研究經驗，促使中心成員成為相關領域之意見領袖，以協助政府研擬及推動相關衛生政策，並促進與國外相關研究單位之交流合作，產生社會影響力，促進人類健康與福祉。
●健康公平
「健康公平」研究人口群體健康 (或健康照護) 之不公平可消除差異，著重於探討年齡、性別、社經地位、族群、區域的社會因子差異。
●永續發展
而「永續發展」除了探討環境健康風險因子與食品安全問題，更期待積極創造健康友善環境。
綜合人口健康 (健康公平) 與環境健康 (永續發展)，以創造健康平等的公共衛生願景，與公共衛生學院之教育目標和社會責任得以相應。

中心任務
01.
研究任務
本中心定位為研究並增進民眾之健康識能、縮小健康不平等，增進對基本健康資訊及醫療服務的取得、理解、應用之能力，以促使健康資源於不同社會階層之公平，並致力於縮減年齡、性別、社經地位、地理區域、族群等社會因子所影響之健康差距，以及促進環境永續發展，促達到健康平等的機會。
02.
研究轉譯
研究成果轉譯為公共衛生政策建議，提供研究計畫補助/委託單位回饋、相關政府部門政策制度、議題相關民間組織實務推動參考。
03.
跨領域合作、跨校合作與國際合作
本中心將就健康狀況、健康照護分布與利用、永續發展等之主題，進行健康平等之研究，鼓勵本院不同專長教師於健康平等議題進行研究合作創心，並促進與國內外相關研究單位之交流合作。
04.
培育人才
鼓勵本院（公共衛生學院）教師指導國際研究生，促進本院教師與學生與國際研究相關單位合作，以及協助本籍和外籍研究生參與國際研討會發表研究成果。
