This collaboration combines the Ministry\u2019s policy and governance capabilities with TMU\u2019s specialized foundation in healthcare, clinical research, and talent incubation. By integrating preventive medicine principles into environmental policy planning and execution, the partnership deepens cross-disciplinary synergy spanning from talent cultivation and low-carbon healthcare to climate-health research.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">TMU has incorporated sustainable development into its core institutional governance. Led by its Office of Sustainable Development, the university coordinates resources across its campus and affiliated hospitals to drive greenhouse gas inventories, energy management, low-carbon medical practices, and medical waste circularity. Moving forward, both parties will leverage campus and clinical settings to train green healthcare professionals, advance low-carbon transitions, accelerate climate-health research, and incorporate applications such as artificial intelligence and telehealth to enhance resilience against climate and environmental risks.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Minister Peng Chi-ming stated that addressing health challenges posed by climate change requires cross-sector collaboration among government bodies, academic institutions, and healthcare systems to advance talent cultivation, policymaking, and technological research.
